Hey Everyone,

Here are the minutes! Look for my lessons learned at the end.

In Attendance: Kacy Wothe, Laura Groenjes, Eric Nelson, Galen
Mitchell, Jon Carlson, Liam Glover, Peter, Justin Martin, Allan
Johnson, Andy Winn

I. Tomorrow (Wednesday) is the Student Organization Fair from 4-6.
-We want to get a new banner (perhaps w/ a donkey on it)
-Liam will check on prices from Media Services
-We should be able to use our printing money from the senate to
cover expenses

II. T-Shirts
-They will be $8.25/shirt if we order 100.
-We will sell them for $10 if people pre-order. No matter what
we will order 100. Any shirts we sell that were not pre-ordered will
be sold for $12.
-Galen said Laura shouldn't bite her nails...yell at her if you
see it hapenning.
-We will show the design at the Student Organization Fair and
hopefully start selling them then.
-Any pre-order must pay at when they order the shirt.
-No discounts for dems members (cause who really is a member???)
-Peter showed up with a word of advice...get your required
credits done before spring of your senior year. We heard much about
that.
-The money earned from the shirts will hopefully go toward more
merchandise like...stickers???

III. Pizza & Politics
-The one co-hosted by the Greens will be next Tuesday.
-We will host one for the May Day Conference. It will focus on
food, and the pizza will come from the caf made w/ May Day foods that
were produced within a 120 mile radius. We only have to provide
funding. The topic will be the farm bill (maybe).
-The Republicans do not have the money to co-sponsor one, so
that idea is off.
-There are ideas to co-sponsor one with Democracy Matters or
sponsor one for Diversity Week, which is the third week in April. The
proposed topic would be Affirmative Action and/or Race in College
Admissions. As of now, we gave a tentative yes.

IV. Peter still wants an Outreach Coordinator Position (which he will
temporarily fill)
-Dems need to work with the D-center more!!
V. Eric and Galen forgot their Friday meeting with Sujay Rao...nice job guys.
-What would have been discussed is a possible internship with the DFL
-The Mankato DFL office needs volunteers to do some phoning. If
you are interested, contact Tony Spain.
-We should contact the MSU Mankato College Dems to help them with
their organization. However, they are only active during elections.

VI. There has been no response from Judy Gow (sp??) about the Burton
Dinner attenants.

VII. Al Franken will be at MSU Mankato tomorrow night from 6-7.
Peter and Allan were thinking of going if you want to car pool.

VIII. We need to get an executive board email list. Someone will do it.

IX. The Republicans are meeting next Wednesday.

Kacy's Lessons Learned....
Peter can be very negative, and even hostile. To avoid being in such
a state, fulfill your requirements, or go to Patty's and drink your
sorrows away.
When talk gets really exciting, Eric kinda stutters a little and gets
a bit red in the face. Not that there's anything wrong with that....
Allan is in love. He was sporting a stylish leather coat and a clean
shaven face. We're hoping a white silk scarf and Italian leather boots
will accompany the outfit next week.
We spend far too much time talking about nothing.

That's it guys. Have a great week and make sure you stop by to see us
at the Student Organization Fair tomorrow!
