[GAC-Dems] Volunteer opportunities

Hey Dems, 

 

Now that the political election campaign season is over, I'm sure you're
itching with restless boredom right? Well boy have I got a cure for you, and
it has nothing to do with Preparation H. About three weeks ago, we began a
fund-raising effort to keep our Mankato office up and running between now
and the end of 2008. We need some help with phoning for this effort. 

 

We'll do our phoning on Sunday, February 25 from 4 to 8 p.m.  If you can
pick a (preferably) 2-hr time that you can attend along with your cell phone
(We only have, now, 2 telephone lines in the office!)  Pizza & soft
drinks/coffee will be provided.  (The address is:  630 N. Riverfront Drive,
Mankato  --  parking lot in back or on the south side, also street parking,
enter from front, please).

 

These are not cold calls; the 900 or so are known members of the DFL party,
and they have all ready received our letter.  The script you will use will
be quite short, so each of us should be able to make many calls in just two
hours.

 

We really need your help if we are to keep our fundraising efforts on track
the goal is to fully fund our office for the next two years in just one
year, 2007, so that next year people will be only asked to contribute to
candidates and not the office.
