There have been some recent activities by some members of this email
list dealing with the College Republican's document I sent out for
review that have come to my attention. A few of these have been what
could be considered inflamitory or antagonistic. It was my hope that
through the reading of this document which the republicans provided
us, we would be able to better fully discuss it, and our stance on it,
in a calm and civil manner.

I do not need to remind those that were at our most recent meetings
that this document was given to us on the assumption that we would
review it and decide if we support parts of it, and if so, which
parts. It was not provided to us in order to incite inflamatory or
antagonistic remarks, let alone attack the College Republicans.

One of our primary goals on campus is to help foster political
discussion on campus. Ridiculing the other party that is trying to
help us achieve that goal is counter to what we want to do.

The document was sent to the DEMS list. I had hoped people would have
handled it as such. It was not given to other groups because those
groups were not asked by the Republicans to become involved in it.

If you were planning to do anything with the College Republicans
document, I would ask that you first consult the Republicans. This is
their document and they should have control over where it goes (in
terms of outside of the dems and republicans groups).

Thanks,
Galen
