[GAC-Dems] Minutes for 2/7/07

Hey Everyone,

First of all, welcome back to second semester.  Secondly, here are the  
minutes.

In attendance:  Kacy Wothe, Danielle Harms, Alison Glenn, Jacob  
Seamans, Justin Martin, William Glover, Eric Nelson, Galen Mitchell,  
Laura Groenjes, Stacy Sletten, Andrea Carlile, Allan Johnson, Matt  
Pollari, Sujay Rao, Peter Grafstrom

Pre-meeting:  Andrea brought boxes of Sweet hearts for everyone, so if  
you decided not to come, you definitely missed out (besides the fact  
that you missed the actual meeting).

I.  Meeting will now be held Tuesday's at 7:00.
      -Eric is checking to see if we can still be in the boardroom.   
Look for an email tellling you where to go.

II.  Update on College Republicans action.  Look for an email sent by Galen.

III.  Pizza and Politics
      -The greens have asked us to co-sponsor a P&P with them on Feb. 22.
      -The topic will be conserving energy, and a movie may be shown  
(if it is not too long).
      -We will be supplying the pizza and they will advertise.

IV.  Progressive week and Dem Fest
      -It should work to allign DemFest with the Burton Dinner on May 5th.
      -Start thinking of ideas for Progressive week and the May Day Conference.

V.  T-Shirts
      -Next meeting we will decide on designs
      -The t-shirt group may be meeting again before Tuesday

VI.  The constitution was passed over J-term.

VII.  Elections
      -The Parliamentarian and Liason to the Republican positions need  
to be filled.
      -Danielle motioned to table the elections until our next meeting  
in hopes more members would show up because of the new date.  Eric  
seconded the motion, so if you want one of these positions, make sure  
you show up on Tuesday.
