[GAC-Dems] Supreme Court upholds ban on "partial birth" abortions

Yep. it's true. 5-4 the Supreme court upheld the Nebraska ban on the D and X
procedure in which the fetus is removed from the womb in one piece (coined
Partial-Birth by smart conservative activists). Apparently it's more moral
in their minds to chop up the fetus and count its body parts to make sure
they didn't miss any than removing it in one piece. I'm glad congress and
the Supreme Court knows more about abortion procedures than obstetricians.
"Today's decision is alarming," Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, now the Court's
only woman, wrote for the four dissenters, because the majority "refuses to
take ... seriously" its own precedent on abortion, and "tolerates, indeed
applauds, federal intervention to ban nationwide a procedure found necessary
and proper in certain cases by the American College of Obstetricians and
Gynecologists." If this Court is willing to do this, will there ever be a
restriction on abortion that they don't like? I think I can answer that."
