[Dems-events] tomorrow's meetingpgrafstr at gac.edu pgrafstr at gac.eduMon Mar 21 18:13:26 CST 2005
Hey Guys and Gals, Tomorrow's meeting (9pm 49er Room by the SAO Desk under the Caf) will focus on what we have heard from the departments about money and what we want put on the table tents that will go up this week and the next. If you're worried about how to contact department chairs or haven't sent out an email yet, don't worry... I just sent out mine. If you're looking for a form letter I've included what I sent out to Pr. Leitch and Pastor Larson. It's a little wordy though and you might want to pair it down a bit. See you guys, ----- Forwarded message from pgrafstr at gac.edu ----- Date: Mon, 21 Mar 2005 17:34:06 -0600 From: pgrafstr at gac.edu Reply-To: pgrafstr at gac.edu To: rleitch at gac.edu, rlarson at gac.edu Hello, This is Peter Grafstrom with the GAC Democrats and Project MalWart. You may have read the article in the Weekly about our group. Next month we plan to picket the Mankato Super WalMart on the first Saturday after spring Break. We are currently contacting departments at Gustavus that would like to help us out financially with protest materials and possibly renting a van to transport our demonstrators. I realize that many departments have already allocated most of their funds by this time in the year. Any amount will help, especially if we can pool resources from multiple departments. The money will be set up in a 9line account with the GAC DEMS. The money will be kept rack of to assure that it will be used for this project. We hope to be joined by local activist in the area such as the Senate District 23 Democrats, local Union Workers, and other local activists (certainly any professors are welcome to join us). Thank you for your time, Peter Grafstrom
